5 piece and fries, salt pepper, mumbo sauce, fried hard. It's a simple hole in the wall in the middle of Columbia Heights. Cash only, takeout only. But when the itch for carryout comes, there's very few places that will hit as well as Howard China. It's a simple order, don't even recommend looking at the menu, just get wings, (fries or fried rice), mumbo sauce, fried hard. It'll satisfy any craving.
They always come in clutch with what I want. Any time u want chicken and mambo sauce this is where I go because they are also one of the very few carry outs that do old bay seasoning on your chicken as well if you ask for it. Just make sure you have cash because there is no cash app or other options. There is an atm inside the carry out but I don't know what it's giving so have your cash.
Decent portions, cooked well the mumbo sauce wasn't my favorite but not terrible. Fries were fresh and I enjoyed the fried rice. Still cash only so that makes it pick up only. Parking can be a pain and even if you call in the order you may still have to wait
If you went to HU, you already know! As my Homecoming ritual, I stop here before going to the yard!! Now my fam n love coming here. A few blocks away from the Mecca... bring cash! My must haves: Wings with fries + extra mumbo sauce!! .35 extra! Philly egg rolls with mumbo sauce for dipping!! Extra lrg house made ice tea n lemonade!! The owners are nice, I think the kids now run it, cuz its not the same owner of when I went to HU.
